HISTORICAL RE-ENACTMENT SOCIETY
OF FLORIDA
Welcome to The Historical Re-enactment Society of Florida. This is an online informative page dedicated to promote the hobby of historical re-enactment in the region, and to maintain an up to date list of the groups and historical periods that are currently being re-enacted within the state.
A historical re-enactor is primarily a history enthusiast, but many other lines of interest such memorabilia collecting, uniforms and weapons preservation, vehicle reconstruction and the outdoors, among others, are also compatible with the hobby and help to make it a very diverse activity.
Florida is very rich in history, and as such, many individuals dedicated to the hobby have organized a number of different units to portray among themselves, and to the general public, what a particular moment of history looked like. These groups often participate in living history events, museum displays, air shows, parades, and war games. The diversity of historical periods represented range from the ancient to modern military conflicts. If this ia an activity that may interest you, each unit has a contact person in charge of memberships that will be glad to provide you with information.
